Reporting obligations

Where there is a suspicion that a security incident is linked to serious criminal offences under Union or national law, Member States should encourage essential and important organisations, on the basis of applicable criminal procedural law in accordance with Union law, to report such security incidents with an alleged serious criminal background to the competent law enforcement authorities.
