Article 8 Protection of personal data
In this article of the Charter, personal data is recognised as one of the rights, freedoms and principles listed.
(1) Everyone has the right to the protection of personal data concerning him or her.
(2) These data may only be processed in good faith for specified purposes and with the consent of the data subject or on any other legitimate basis laid down by law. Every person has the right to obtain information about the data collected concerning him or her and to have the data corrected.
(3) Compliance with these regulations is monitored by an independent body.
